Before the gates opened, Korean fans were outside Estadio Akron Stadium in Guadalajara, Mexico, and were seen tailgating.

One of the tailgates featured a group of Korean fans, while fans of Mexico walked by after their country defeated South Africa, 2-0.

As the Korean fans were seen passing around a bottle of tequila, pouring shots into one another’s mouth, Mexican fans couldn’t help themselves from joining in on the excitement.

The festivities and excitement weren’t just in Mexico; the Korean outdoor shopping mall in Buena Park, The Source, held a watch party centered in the mall’s grounds.

Fans gathered across the three levels of the building, bringing their own chairs and blankets to watch the match.

Another watch party in Southern California happened over in Koreatown in Los Angeles. The watch party was packed with Korean fans leading their own self-orchestrated chants through a microphone that was connected to a speaker. They were also seen banging thundersticks, cheering with pompoms and waving the Korean flag.
