Mayor Zohran Mamdani will be sitting in the guest seat for Monday’s “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” as the West Coast-produced show heads to the Big Apple for a week-long stretch.
The social media-focused mayor’s interview will air as part of the ABC late night talk show’s weeklong stint filming at the Brooklyn Academy of Music’s Howard Gilman Opera House.
Other guests lined up for the five-day stretch of shows at BAM include Paul McCartney, Billy Crystal, Pete Davidson, Bruce Springsteen, Howard Stern and Mahershala Ali.
The show is usually recorded in California.
Host Kimmel, a well-known critic of President Trump, returned to the air for his 4,000th episode earlier this month after a summer hiatus.
The host drew headlines when his show was pulled off the airwaves in 2025 after Kimmel doubled down on controversial comments about conservative commentator Charlie Kirk’s death.
Kimmel mocked FCC Chairman Brendan Carr and cast himself as a martyr for free speech in his first monologue but stopped short of apologizing for linking Charlie Kirk’s alleged killer to the MAGA movement.
Kimmel recently claimed that ABC opted not to air a recent interview with Democrat Texas Senate hopeful James Talarico due to threats from Trump’s Federal Communications Commission.
