Welcome to Mein Street, USA.
A massive load of chopsticks spilled out on a California highway last week, creating a traffic nightmare for motorists and cops alike, cops said.
“Thousands of chopsticks scattered across the lanes!” the California Highway Patrol wrote on Instagram, referring to the incident as a “sticky situation.
“Turns out someone turned the freeway into a giant game of pick-up sticks!”

“Unfortunately, this means means a local restaurant might be short on utensils tonight,” the post said. “Let this be your reminder to secure your load! Don’t let your cargo take an unplanned detour — it’s a hazard for everyone and a headache for us.”
The chopstick mishap unfolded on Interstate 580 at Redwood Road.
Photos from the scene shows dozens of boxes spilled out on the highway — with the chopsticks scattered about as an exasperated police officer surveys the scene.
It is unclear when the mess was cleared up and things returned to normal.
