Melania Trump issues rare statement on major Supreme Court ruling: ‘Respect everyone’

Melania Trump made a rare statement on a Supreme Court ruling, praising the high court for upholding a West Virginia law that restricted transgender females from taking part in girls’ and women’s sports.

“As many of you may know, I fully support the LGBTQIA+ community.  But we must also ensure that our female athletes are protected and respected,” the first lady posted on X, noting she first voiced this stance in her memoir.

“America, we can support the rights of the LGBTQIA+ community and also protect opportunities for female athletes. Respect everyone and keep girls’ sports fair. Both ideals are essential,” she added.
