Michael Pittman reveals wife’s ‘crazy’ Steelers foresight before Colts trade

Michael Pittman’s trade to the Steelers wasn’t a complete shock to everyone — particularly him and his wife.

Following the deal, Pittman posted on X why he saw it coming.

“Crazy! My wife @KiannaPittman_  had a dream a month ago I was wearing a Steelers jersey. God works in crazy ways! #SteelCity,” Pittman wrote.

Kianna, a social media influencer who posts travel and lifestyle content, met Michael in high school before they got hitched in 2020.

The Colts and Steelers swapped late-round picks in the trade. Pittsburgh also signed Pittman to a three-year, $59 million contract after the deal.

Pittman became the odd man out in Indianapolis following Alec Pierce’s four-year, $116 million re-signing Monday and the Colts’ decision to place the transition tag on quarterback Daniel Jones, who will now receive $37.8 million next year.

Across six years with the Colts, Pittman has established himself as a reliable threat. He’s reached 800 yards four times, twice breaking the 1,000-yard plateau.

In 2025, he hauled in 784 yards on 80 receptions while also pitching in a career-high seven touchdowns. He finished his time with Indianapolis with 5,254 yards and 25 touchdowns, yet never made a Pro Bowl.

Prior to his extension with the Steelers, Pittman had signed a three-year, $70 million contract to remain with the Colts in 2024.

Besides the Pierce and Pittman moves, the Colts also sent linebacker Zaire Franklin to Green Bay for defensive tackle Colby Wooden. Franklin led the league two years ago with 173 tackles.

Last year, the Colts raced out to a blazing start under Jones, beginning the year 8-5. After Jones went down with a torn Achilles in Week 14, Indianapolis didn’t win another game.

The Colts tried to salvage a playoff berth from the lost season, bringing in retired signal-caller Philip Rivers to no avail. Rivers showed some promise, keeping Indianapolis in games with the Seahawks and 49ers, but went 0-3 in his brief return.

Now, it’s left with Pierce, Josh Downs, Ashton Dulin and tight end Tyler Warren in its receiving corps.

Pittman, meanwhile, will join DK Metcalf and Calvin Austin in Pittsburgh. And his wife foreshadowed the move well in advance.
