To top it all off, McCarthy had an awkward encounter with a cameraman while he was trying to congratulate Bengals coach Zac Taylor on the win and leave the field.
The cameraman appeared to be trying to get in close for a shot and surprised the Dallas coach with how close he was after he turned around following his brief conversation with Taylor.
McCarthy appeared to reflexively move the cameraman out of the way, which caused him to lose balance of the camera momentarily.
Monday’s loss was the latest in a string of disappointments for the Cowboys, who dropped to 5-8 after previously winning two straight games.
The loss likely left many people frustrated, including star pass rusher Micah Parsons, who stormed off the field before the game even ended.
Parsons’ reaction to the botched punt block was a mix of shock and frustration.
As the game came to a close and the Cowboys’ loss was solidified, he was captured by ESPN cameras walking back to the locker room in defeat by himself.
