A young mom pushing her baby in a pram has been attacked by a group of dogs in Melbourne.
It is alleged the same group of dogs mauled an elderly woman just a day earlier.
Neighbors heard the mother’s screams on Withers Close in Sunbury on Friday afternoon.
“(There was) blood everywhere … legs, ankles, arms, elbows, hands. It was just not a sight you want to see on a Friday afternoon,” witness Mark Jackson told 7NEWS.
Ambulance Victoria confirmed it was called to an animal incident in the area about 3 p.m.
The woman was rushed to The Alfred hospital with serious injuries.
Animal control officers sized four dogs from a nearby home shortly after.
Neighbors said they are in fear of a group of dogs that regularly roam around.
They claim the same animals attacked a 71-year-old woman in the area on Thursday.
The elderly woman as taken to Royal Melbourne hospital, where she remains in a serious condition.
A member of a local Facebook group posted a photo of three dogs they claim were responsible for the attacks.
Hume City Council told 7NEWS it is aware of the attacks.
“Council officers are actively working with Victoria Police on this matter and council is unable to comment any further at this time,” it said.
“All dogs have been removed from the premises.”
