An MTA cleaner allegedly slashed a man who confronted him for pouring bleach near the spot where he’d been sleeping on a Brooklyn subway platform early Monday, cops and sources said.
The 47-year-old victim was snoozing on the southbound side of the Atlantic Avenue-Barclays Center station around 1:45 a.m. when Antonio Larode, who was cleaning the platform, dumped bleach on the floor next to him, according to authorities and sources.
That angered the sleeping man, who confronted the 62-year-old Larode, the sources said.
Larode then cut him above his left eye, cops said.
The MTA employee was arrested at the scene and charged with assault and criminal possession of a weapon, police said.
Larode has been employed with the MTA for 15 months, the agency said.
The victim was taken to Brooklyn Methodist Hospital, where he remains in stable condition, cops said.
