Former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) is set to endorse Jack Schlossberg in a crowded primary to represent a Manhattan district in Congress.

According to a Pelosi statement obtained by The Post and prepared by the New York Democrat’s campaign, Pelosi, 85, plans to highlight Schlossberg’s “passion for solving problems – particularly his ability to engage and inspire young people – and said there is incredible excitement around his candidacy.”

She also touts his “policy chops,” according to the statement.

The seat is opening after Rep. Jerold Nadler, 78, announced his retirement after more than three decades in Congress. Schlossberg, 32, is the grandson of President John F. Kennedy.

He has never held elected office, but Pelosi served with several of his relatives: the late Sen. Ted Kennedy (D-Mass.), and former Reps. Patrick Kennedy (D-R.I.), Joe Kennedy (D-Mass.), and Joseph P. Kennedy III (D-Mass.).

Schlossberg, a political commentator, spoke at the Democratic National Convention. His parents are former US ambassador to Japan and Australia Caroline Kennedy and Edwin Schlossberg.

The White House slammed his criticism of his cousin, Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. after Schlossberg called him a “rabid dog.”

He’s also been branded a nepo bady after launching his run. His family suffered tragedy in late December when Schlossberg’s sister Tatiana died at just 35 from leukemia.

The open-seat has drawn a bevy of contenders, including George Conway, a former Republican who is divorced from former Trump White House counselor Kellyanne Conway, former journalist Jami Floyd, and state Assemblyman Micah Lasher.
