The FBI and the Homeland Security Department executed raids in the Twin Cities on Tuesday morning, targeting numerous Somali-owned businesses as part of the Trump administration’s crackdown on fraud.
Federal agents obtained court-approved search warrants for more than 20 different locations in the Minneapolis area, Fox News reported. Most of the search warrants are for businesses connected to Somalis, including the infamous “Quality Learning Center” that was at the center of controversy late last year.
“Today the FBI with federal, state and local law enforcement is involved in court-authorized law enforcement activity as part of an ongoing fraud investigation,” the Justice Department told Fox News.
This is a breaking story and will be updated.
