Ousted Venezuelan dictator Nicolás Maduro and his wife arrived via airplane on New York soil after being arrested at his compound in Caracas Saturday.
The plane arrived at Stewart Air National Guard base in Windsor, New York, just after 4:45 p.m. Saturday afternoon – roughly 12 hours after Maduro was taken into custody by joint US military and police forces in Venezuela’s capital city.

Maduro and his wife, Cilia Flores, are being transported to Manhattan where they will be tried for narco-terrorism related crimes in the Southern District of New York.
Maduro was pictured earlier Saturday in the custody of US forces aboard the USS Iwo Jima, appearing handcuffed, blindfolded and wearing a gray Nike sweatsuit.

The tyrant is expected in court as early as Monday.
