Officer cut Myles Garrett a break during latest traffic stop: body cam video

Myles Garrett’s latest traffic infraction almost resulted in an even bigger headache for the NFL superstar.

Body cam footage obtained by The California Post on Thursday shows that when Garrett was pulled over for speeding at around 1:35 a.m. on Feb. 21 in Wayne County, Ohio, a police officer cut him a big break with the citation that allowed him to take care of the matter without having to show up in person at a courthouse.

“This is going to be a citation for your speed,” the officer told the Browns pass rusher after running his information on the side of a highway. “But instead of citing you for the over 100 miles an hour, which would make it a mandatory appearance, I cited you for less.

“So I cited you for 94 in a 70, so it’s not mandatory.”

She then told Garrett to “slow down and get to your destination safely, OK?”

Garrett, who was driving a 2024 green Porsche responded, “will do,” and the two’s interaction ended.

Garrett was driving a green Porsche when he was stopped for speeding late last month.

A copy of the citation shows Garrett was cited for traveling 94 mph in a 70 mph zone. In the “remarks” section, the officer noted Garrett “was kind and cooperative.”

Court records show that because Garrett did not have appear before a judge, he was able to dispose the case on Thursday morning by paying fines and fees that totaled $157.50.

Garrett, who had been at Miami (Ohio) men’s basketball team’s victory over Bowling Green in Oxford, Ohio just prior to his run-in with police, is no stranger to speeding tickets. Since joining the Browns in 2017, he’s reportedly received at least nine of them.

Neither the Browns nor Garrett has publicly commented on the most recent driving issue.
