Cotie McMahon didn’t shy away from expressing how she felt about Maryland fans.
The Ohio State junior flipped the double bird to the fans after fouling out of the No. 12 Buckeyes’ 93-90 road loss to No. 19 Maryland on Sunday.
Cameras captured McMahon sitting on the bench and quickly telling the fans with both hands that they’re No. 1 while the Buckeyes trailed, 89-88, with 14.5 seconds remaining.
McMahon, who leads the Buckeyes with 16.9 points per game, fouled out of Sunday’s contest with 14.5 seconds remaining after committing an infraction while Ohio State pressured the ball in hope of a steal.
She aggressively bumped Allie Kubek to end her day, finishing with 18 points and five rebounds on 8-for-16 shooting spanning her 30 minutes.
McMahon then took her seat on the bench, and looked across the court and flipped the double bird while Kubek shot her free throws at the other end of the floor.
Kubek hit one of two free throws to give the Terrapins a 90-88 edge before a layup tied the game with seven seconds remaining.

Sarah Te-Biasu then provided one of the best shots of the season when she took the ball up the court and pulled up behind the arc, draining the game-winning 3-pointer with one second remaining.
Ohio State failed to hit the rim on its halfcourt buzzer-beater.
The Buckeyes originally forced overtime thanks to a McMahon layup with 29 seconds remaining that tied the game at 78-78, with Ohio State rallying from a nine-point deficit earlier in the quarter.
It’s possible these teams can meet again the upcoming Big Ten Tournament, although they are on different sides of the bracket.
Ohio State is seeded third and would have a semifinal date with second-seeded USC, while Maryland is the No. 4 seed and would have to go through phenom JuJu Watkins and No. 1 USC is the semis.
