A Utah mom accused of heinously killing her husband in his sleep after a night of drunken sex was wearing an Oura Ring — as was her victim — which could lead investigators to his clandestine grave.

A search warrant unsealed by the Salt Lake County District Attorney’s Office this month reveals that investigators targeted data linked to Jennifer Gledhill and her husband, National Guardsman Matthew Johnson’s Oura rings between Sept. 20 and Oct. 1, 2024, a period during which his suspected murder took place, according to the Daily Mail.

Oura rings log time- and date-stamped GPS data, which police hope will pinpoint the exact location where Gledhill allegedly concealed his body.

Photos taken on the day of the alleged murder confirm Gledhill was wearing the ring, and the Utah National Guard unit Johnson belonged to also confirmed he owned one, according to ABC4.

Gledhill, of Cottonwood Heights, allegedly turned off her phone and other electronic devices before leaving the minivan she drove to bury him in a shallow grave, leading to difficulties in retrieving the corpse.

The 43-year-old was arrested on suspicion of murder after she allegedly confessed to her alleged lover, though she did not disclose the location to him, police said.

Following Johnson’s death, the mom of three allegedly reported him missing on Sept. 28 — eight days after detectives believe he was killed.

The cold-blooded killing reportedly came after a night of drunken sex with her husband during which Gledhill admitted to having an affair, according to investigators.

Her alleged lover — who has not been named — claimed Gledhill told him her husband had confronted her on Sept. 20 and “yelled at her because he knew she had been sleeping with someone else.”

“The defendant told [her lover] that she shot Mr. Johnson [the next day] as he slept in their bed … that she put Mr. Johnson’s body into a rooftop storage container, slid him down the stairs of their home, and loaded his body into the back of their minivan,” investigators said in their report.

Gledhill “then took her husband’s body north, dug a hole, and buried him in a shallow grave,” the Salt Lake County District Attorney Sim Gill added.

She was caught on surveillance cameras thoroughly cleaning out the car after the alleged killing.

Gledhill’s parents, Thomas and Rosalie Gledhill, now 73 and 69, respectively, were also arrested and charged after investigators believe they uncovered evidence that they helped their daughter cover up the gruesome crime.
