A nunchuck-wielding Long Island biker wearing the patches of an alleged “outlaw” gang tangled with state troopers who pulled over to help him while marooned on the Southern State Parkway, officials said.
Queens resident Aaron Morgan, 45, was spotted pulled to the side of the road near Exit 18 around 2 a.m. Saturday after his bike lost power, New York State Police said.
The uneasy rider was wearing a leather vest with nunchucks strapped to it, a patch for motorcycle gang Twister MC before he allegedly pulled out metal knuckles, officials said.
The troopers moved into arrest him but Morgan resisted before he was cuffed, police said.
Troopers found he was carrying a small baggie filled with an unidentified white powdery substance in his pocket — and had stuffed a handgun loaded with 15 bullets in his bike, according to police.
Police released images of the biker’s vest, which they said was decorated with a “1%” patch — a badge of honor that is worn by members of outlaw biker gangs to signify that they operate outside the law and reject traditional social norms.
Morgan was charged with multiple felonies — including criminal possession of a weapon, along with resisting arrest and drug possession.
He was arraigned later that day in Nassau County Court.
