RESTON, VA — A local law enforcement officer found himself on the receiving end of fierce public backlash and allegations of racism for stubbornly refusing to allow a black woman to murder him with a knife.
Officer Peter Liu responded to a call for a welfare check at the residence of the black woman before she emerged from her apartment and slashed him with a large knife, which he brazenly resisted.
“Yet another example of a black person being oppressed,” said civil rights activist DeShaun Covington. “This proud black woman was trying to exercise her God-given right to slash a police officer to death with a kitchen knife, but he refused to allow her to do so. Shame on him. If there was any true justice in this country, police officers would keep their guns in their holsters and remain silent while they are viciously slashed with deadly weapons.”
Community leaders expressed regret that such virulent racism could be found within the police department. “We like to think that we’ve made progress, but it’s obvious that we still have a long way to go,” said one county official who asked to remain anonymous. “One day, we’ll finally live in a land of racial harmony, where a black woman can murder an Asian police officer without fear of racism and intolerance. But sadly, we’re not there yet.”
At publishing time, community groups were already raising funds to have a large mural painted in honor of the brave knife-wielding black woman who fell victim to racism.
