LOS ANGELES — After eight NFL seasons, Rams cornerback Darious Williams has retired.

The team announced Saturday that it had placed Williams on the reserve/retired list.

Williams, 32, had two stints with the Rams, playing a total of six seasons in Los Angeles. He was a part of the Rams’ Super Bowl LVI-winning team during the 2021 season.

In 100 regular-season games, Williams had 12 interceptions, 77 passes defended and 306 total tackles.

After winning the Super Bowl in 2021, Williams signed a three-year deal with the Jacksonville Jaguars. He was released after two seasons and signed a new deal with the Rams. Williams had one season remaining on that contract.

Along with Williams’ retirement, the Rams have four cornerbacks who are pending free agents. Los Angeles added to the room Wednesday, agreeing to a trade for All-Pro cornerback Trent McDuffie on Wednesday, sources told ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
