PORTLAND, ME — Popular progressive candidate Arnold Henry swept through the Democratic primary and excited left-leaning Democrats — with many even talking presidential prospects in 2028 — but Republicans have shifted into overdrive, smearing Henry because of his past, mainly focusing on the fact that Henry is a clone of Adolf Hitler.
“They’re trying to imply Henry is a Nazi — like Elon Musk,” said left-wing pundit Kent Bray. “Which is ridiculous when he’s firmly on the side of compassionate politics — at least from what I’ve been able to translate from his speeches in German.”
Arnold Henry — also known as Nazi Experiment 74B6 — has made a name for himself with his passionate defense of left-wing policies such as socialism and the pro-Palestine cause. While it caused some controversy when it came out during the primary that he was created by being cloned in a vat from Hitler and then uploaded with Hitler’s memories, most Democrats still preferred him over more centrist candidates.
But with the general election ahead, Republicans pounced on Henry’s past. “Just look at him: He’s Hitler,” said Republican strategist Glenda Williamson. “Like, literally, I’m not even making a comparison. He’s him.”
Henry’s supporters, though, remained dismissive of the criticism. “People these days like their candidates warts and all,” said Bulwark columnist Colin Grant. “The fact that Henry is an exact duplicate of a genocidal dictator just makes him relatable.”
“It’s time to stand up for progressive politics and ignore right-wing smears,” agreed Democrat Kristi Emery. “The real Nazis are the Republicans, so they’re not going to trick us into thinking a progressive candidate is one just because of some minor details of who he was cloned from. I mean, just listen to him denounce Zionists as evil vermin in every single speech — does that sound like a Nazi?”
At publishing time, Henry had also reportedly become a popular candidate among alternative “New Right” podcasters.
