Sean McVay’s biggest supporter took quite the victory la Sunday.
Moments after the Rams defeated the Bills in a thrilling 44-42 upset win at home, Veronika Khomyn — the wife of the Rams’ eight-year head coach — ribbed Buffalo’s beloved fan base in fiery message.
“Sorry Bills Mafia. LA is too hot for you,” she wrote on her Instagram Stories as the Rams improved to 7-6.
The Rams entered Sunday’s contest at SoFi Stadium as underdogs to the Josh Allen-led Bills, who defeated the 49ers in snowy Buffalo just last week.
Quarterback Matthew Stafford went 23-for-30 with 320 yards, two touchdowns and zero interceptions.
Meanwhile, Allen tossed three touchdowns and rushed for three scores but it was not enough for the Bills to complete the comeback after trailing, 24-14, at halftime..
“Josh Allen is an alien,” McVay said postgame, according to NBC News. “Some of the stuff he can do and the things he can create, we knew he was capable of that. He’s shown that. It’s why he’s as well-respected and regarded in this league as he is.”
Stafford is in his fourth season in Los Angeles. He won a Super Bowl in his first season with the Rams in February 2022.
Los Angeles reached the postseason in January but fell short to Stafford’s former Lions team in the wild-card round, 24-23.
The Rams are currently on the bubble in the NFC playoff race as the eighth seed looking in, one game behind the Commanders for the final spot.
They’ll visit the rival Niners (6-7) this week on “Thursday Night Football.”
It’s been quite the fall for McVay and his family, as he and Khomyn celebrated son Jordan’s first birthday in late October.
The couple celebrated with an outdoor bash.
“Happy 1st Birthday Jordan, thank you for making me a mama. You light up our entire world!!!” Khomyn exclaimed on Instagram at the time.
A luxury realtor, Khomyn married McVay, 38, in a lavish ceremony at The Beverly Hills Hotel in June 2022, months after his first Super Bowl win with the Rams.
She announced her pregnancy in June 2023.
