Shoeless slob leaves nasty surprise on porch as cops use viral video in manhunt: ‘We’re good neighbors’

Knock, knock. Poo’s there.

Kentucky police are working to crack the case of a disturbed young man who left a nasty surprise on the same front porch several times in the last week.

Louisville Metro Police said they’ve received multiple reports about a so-called “porch pooper,” whose disgusting antics have gone viral online after video from the unlucky resident’s doorbell camera circulated on social media.

Doorbell cam footage of a man in a red shirt urinating on the ground with a black box obscuring his private area.
The unidentified young man did his business on the same Louisville, Ky. front porch at least twice in the last week, even peeing on the welcome mat. The homeowner said he has no idea who he is.

Video of the gag-inducing display shows a man wearing a red shirt, dark-colored shorts and socks without shoes confidently bounding up the front steps of the home at an unhurried pace before squatting.

The rogue defecator left his initial calling card late Monday night and has been back several times since, the homeowner told local outlet WAVE.

“Tuesday morning, I went out to my front porch and noticed what I thought was cat poop,” said “Jim,” which was a pseudonym used by the outlet.

Jim cleaned up the mess, not thinking much of it. That is, until he checked his Nest doorbell camera and much to his dismay saw the poop-etrator wasn’t a rude neighborhood cat, but a man, who for good measure also peed on their welcome mat.

He looked back on footage from previous nights and found — to his horror — that the man had been at the house the night earlier, creepily peeping through the front door before slipping away into the dusk.

Jim said he had never seen the man before and had no clue why his porch had come under unfriendly fire.

The man returned several times over subsequent nights, sometimes trying to peer into the home or slapping the front door and running away.

“We’re good neighbors. We keep to ourselves, we behave ourselves. I can’t imagine anyone would want to do this kind of retribution,” he said.

That very same night the ne’er-poo-well came back again, and this time Jim attempted to confront him, but he was gone by the time he made it to his front door.

He returned yet again on Thursday night but didn’t leave anything behind — instead slapping the front door of the home before retreating out of view of the camera.

“I’m relieved that he’s not violent or he’s not trying to force entry,” Jim told the outlet. “He’s just doing his deed, but it’s very disconcerting and disturbing.”

Cops are asking anyone with information about the porch pooper to call their anonymous tip line, 502-574-5673.

The Porch Pooper of Louisville joins the ranks of other illustrious freestyle feces depositors in recent years, such as Colorado’s “Mad Pooper,” the “Parking Lot Pooper” of Ashland, Mass. and of course, New Jersey’s very own “Pooperintendent of Schools.

A psychologist offered an explanation about the odd phenomenon of “serial poopers” as people seeking a rush by “pushing the envelope and getting to the edge of civil behavior.”
