The Miami Dolphins are sending Minkah Fitzpatrick to the New York Jets in exchange for the 2026 seventh-round pick from the Chargers, sources told ESPN’s Adam Schefter on Monday.

The Jets will sign Fitzpatrick to a three-year, $40 million deal, agent Drew Rosenhaus told Schefter.

Fitzpatrick, who one year remaining on his deal with Miami at $17.6 million, had 82 tackles with a forced fumble, two recoveries and an interception in 2025.
