Three consecutive commanding wins have quieted the doubters.
Three straight victories, all by double figures, all games in which St. John’s hardly had to sweat, have made everyone around the Johnnies feel better about the state of this team.
St. John’s has looked the part of a legitimate NCAA Tournament team in crushing Butler and Creighton on the road, then coming home and manhandling Marquette. The ugly home loss to Providence feels like an aberration.
The good vibes aren’t all the way back, but they are certainly close. There is a sense the Red Storm have found their identity in a big, versatile lineup that creates mismatch problems and can impose their will on the opposition.
