This “wild” dressed jean-ius got cuffed. And it wasn’t by the fashion police.
Cops collared one of multiple suspects wanted for smashing into the Nudie Jeans Repair shop at 188 Bowery, near the the corner of Spring Street in Soho Saturday morning.
Officers from the NYPD’s 5th Precinct descended on the trendy store at 7:15 a.m., reviewed police camera footage and took a man they believe to be a “lookout” into custody, a department spokesman said.
In the video,”You see him waving these guys over. They actually use a fire hydrant cap to break the glass,” the NYPD spokesman said.
Incredibly, the suspected lookout was still standing across the street from Nudie Jeans when police arrived. His attempt to blend in literally went bust.
Eagle-eyed cops recognized him from the surveillance footage and placed him under arrest.
A witness to the apprehension told The Post the suspect’s “snazzy sweatsuit ensemble” was “really kind of wild looking and it made him stand out.”
Police did not immediately release the suspect’s name and charges are pending, the NYPD said.
Several others remain at large. It wasn’t immediately known how much merch was taken.
