The Jets social media team put out a video on Friday asking players to predict who would win the Mike Tyson-Jake Paul fight.
“One guy’s 27. One guy’s 58. 27’s gonna win,” Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers said.
Two days after Rodgers was proven right and Tyson looked very much like a 58-year-old, Rodgers showed that age also catches up to quarterbacks. Rodgers is not as old as Tyson, but he also looked slow, unable to deliver a knockout punch and past his prime in Sunday’s 28-27 loss to the Colts.
Rodgers turns 41 in two weeks, on Dec. 2. He is not getting younger. He is not getting faster. He is not getting better. The Jets need to realize this and make it clear the plan for 2025 is to have someone else at quarterback.
