The NBA Draft is upon us. And the margins are as slim as ever.

Starting at the top — where there usually is little debate surrounding the No. 1 pick — our assumptions that former BYU star AJ Dybantsa would go first could turn out to be wrong.

There has been chatter in recent days that Kansas’ Darryn Peterson could go first overall to the Wizards, who have a huge decision to make after eight consecutive losing seasons.

To be clear, it’s likely both Dybantsa and Peterson will be highly productive NBA players. And Dybantsa remains the bookies’ favorite to hear his name called first.
