Mercedes Moné may have already hit rock bottom.

Sure, she still has nine of her 13 belts to lose, but everything about her Wednesday on Dynamite felt different.

Moné, having lost the TBS championship to Willow Nightingale after a record 584-day reign last week (which AEW inexplicably chose to run on New Year’s Eve), walked to the ring without any of her titles, without doing her signature dance and with her face covered in mourning like Stan Laurel hiding from Barnaby during the wedding scene of “March of the Wooden Soldiers.”

Nightingale was as gracious as she could be in that situation to her nemesis and former champ, even offering her some celebratory cake. But Moné raged from the embarrassment of losing and losing and losing, finally boiling over. She let out a scream, cleared off the table, pushed Harley Cameron and tried to attack Nightingale. Instead, she ended up face-first in the cake.
