As the dust still settles from a busy Black Monday axe, the Titans’ head coaching gig has been vacant since Brian Callahan was fired six games into the season.

Tennessee tripped into 2025 at 1-5 and dismissed Callahan after a 4-19 overall record.

The Titans were mired by execution failures and poor quarterback play in Callahan’s first season.

When more mistakes cost them wins after drafting Cam Ward with the 2025 No. 1 overall pick, his problematic decision-making became exposed.

The Titans pivoted to senior offensive assistant Mike McCoy as interim head coach, who led them to one more victory and a 3-14, last-place finish in the AFC South.

It’s not the sexiest job on the market; the Titans have now missed the playoffs for their fourth straight year, but the chance to develop Ward under center could draw intrigue.

We’ve highlighted the favorites to land the job according to Kalshi, one of the world’s leading prediction markets.

Chiefs offensive coordinator Matt Nagy leads as the favorite to become the next Titans coach.

Nagy and the Titans are scheduled for an interview on Thursday, where he’ll meet with GM Mike Borgonzi, with whom he has past connections from when the two both worked together in Kansas City.

Nagy returned to his Kansas City coaching roots in 2022 following a four-year stint as the Bears head coach that made for a 34-31 record.

He won two Super Bowls there while serving in several staff positions.

Betting on the NFL?

Former Washington offensive coordinator Kliff Kingsbury sits second after parting ways with the organization on Tuesday following two seasons in that capacity.

He helped propel the Commanders to their first NFC Championship game appearance in 31 years last season, but Jayden Daniels’ injury and an aging roster led to a severely underwhelming follow-up.

Ex-Packers and Cowboys coach Mike McCarthy is one of three options at seven percent as of Wednesday morning.

The former Super Bowl and NFL Coach of the Year winner could return to the sidelines following a one-season hiatus from coaching. McCarthy parted ways with the Cowboys at the conclusion of last season after failing to secure a playoff victory in five seasons as head coach.

McCarthy is touted for his experience working with quarterbacks, namely his illustrious resume alongside four-time MVP Aaron Rodgers.

There is no interview scheduled with McCarthy and the Titans as of this writing.

Former Browns coach Kevin Stefanski, former Falcons coach Raheem Morris, and Colts defensive coordinator Lou Anarumo are also reportedly scheduled for an interview.
