A Mets prospect is turning heads for more reasons than just his stats.
Mitch Voit created quite the hullabaloo on the internet Monday after a video of him went viral as people on social media joked that he looked like AI.
The infield prospect was at Citi Field on Monday as part of the organization’s yearly tradition of honoring the club’s top prospects.
As video of his media availability went on social media, users quickly noticed his looks.
“I’ve said it before, but I’ll say it again: Mitch Voit might be the most attractive person of all time. Dude deadass looks like an AI generated Disney prince,” one person wrote on X.
“I think the Mets are the first MLB team to use an AI generated prospect,” Another person joked.
A third user couldn’t help but marvel at not only the looks but the stat line Voit produced this year.
“Bro hit his way to Double-A, stole 45 bases and finished the year as one of the Mets’ top prospects,” the person commented. “Then he walks into the interview looking like he’s about to leave Citi Field and shoot a cologne campaign. Is this a baseball player or a model?
“The Mets might have found their future infielder AND their next billboard.”
Voit hit .273 this season between Single-A and Double-A, tallying 13 home runs and 59 RBIs.
From May 24 through the end of the minor league season, Voit hit .300 and had an OPS of .866.
“I’m trying to figure out my strengths in the box and how do my strengths match up against this pitcher? And how can I maximize this at-bat to bring the most value in that moment?” Voit told reporters at Citi Field on Monday.
The Mets selected Voit 38th overall during the 2025 Draft.
