White House Deputy Chief of Staff Dan Scavino is planning a surprise Mar-a-Lago wedding for next month, turning his engagement party into a walk down the aisle.
“We’re having an engagement party on February 1,” he said. “The engagement party may transition into a wedding.”
Scavino, 50, revealed the secret details of his big day in an interview with Katie Miller for her podcast, which will air Tuesday night at 6 pm.
Fiancée Erin Elmore joined him for the sitdown, chiding him gently and laughing as he revealed the scoop on their big day.
“It’s a surprise wedding,” said Elmore, Director of Art in Embassies at the State Department.
“I wasn’t supposed to say this,” Scavino conceded, adding: “But I’m an honest guy.”
That weekend will be filled with the weddings of MAGA royalty.
Trump adviser Alex Bruesewitz and former Miss USA second-runner up Carolina Urrea are also set to get married that weekend in a star-studded affair in South Florida, according to a source close to the couple.
Scavino cited the busy year as the reason for the double header event. Besides his normal day-to-day work staffing President Trump, control of Congress is at stake in the mid-term elections taking place in November. The White House is going all in to keep Republicans in power.
“What are we gonna do – get married in October?” he joked to Miller.
Scavino proposed to Elmore, outside the Oval Office on September 25, posting the news to the world on social media with the announcement, “she said yes.”
The two are a familiar duo at MAGA-world events. And Elmore was at the White House last week for Scavino’s surprise birthday party.
Planning is well under way for the wedding, according to sources close to the couple.
A famous officiant that will have MAGA world excited is performing the ceremony but, the source says, it’s not President Trump.
Elmore will wear three dresses throughout the festivities, with two of them custom made, via Allure bridals, Iranian American Designer Simin Couture as well as a Bronx & Banco.
Music will be from Aragon artists, a band featuring rock classics and Grateful Dead covers for Scavino, a huge fan of the band.
Sara Renee Events will handle all of the logistics of high profile guests expected to attend. Lux Rox Photography will document the day.
The decor will be from Cerka Creative and involve orchids and lilies everywhere.
