President Trump directed federal law enforcement to be ready to assist in the search for Savannah Guthrie’s missing mom Nancy after speaking with the “Today” show host earlier Wednesday
“I spoke with Savannah Guthrie, and let her know that I am directing ALL Federal Law Enforcement to be at the family’s, and Local Law Enforcement’s, complete disposal, IMMEDIATELY,” Trump wrote in a Truth Social post.
“We are deploying all resources to get her mother home safely,” the president said Wednesday night.
Hours earlier, Trump offered his support directly to Savannah in a phone call that was confirmed by the White House.
Guthrie thanked the president for his call, telling him the family was devastated and needed prayers more than anything as the search for her 84-year-old mother dragged into the fourth day, NBC News reported.
“The prayers of our Nation are with her and her family. GOD BLESS AND PROTECT NANCY!” Trump’s post concluded.
Savannah and her two siblings issued an emotional plea Wednesday night for their mother’s safe return and told the matriarch’s potential abductor they are “ready to talk.”
“We need to know, without a doubt, that she is alive, and that you have her. We want to hear from you, and we are ready to listen. Please, reach out to us,” Savannah said in an appeal.
As of Wednesday morning, Arizona police and the FBI still hadn’t identified a possible suspect or person of interest in Nancy’s disappearance.
Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos told NBC News that he thinks Nancy is still alive, but admitted there’s “nothing else to go but the belief.”
The Guthrie children are clinging to that same hope as they encouraged their mother to “stay strong” in their heart-wrenching video message.
“We speak to you every moment, and we pray without ceasing. And we rejoice in advance for the day that we hold you in our arms again. We love you Mom,” Savannah said while choking up.
Nancy was last seen by her son-in-law, Tommaso Cioni, on Saturday evening.
She was reported missing Sunday after worshippers at her church noticed she didn’t attend mass and notified her family.
Purported ransom notes obtained by TMZ and Tucson-area outlets suggested that Nancy may have been abducted.

The letter sent to TMZ demanded millions of dollars in Bitcoin for Nancy’s safe return.
Police found splotches of blood alongside signs of a forced entry and apparent struggle at Nancy’s home in Catalina Hills, Arizona.
Nancy can’t walk far without assistance and is likely without medication that keeps her alive and helps her “not to suffer,” Savannah said.
