Former President Donald Trump jokingly suggested Tuesday that Harris-Biden administration officials invoke the 25th Amendment to oust both President Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris.
“I think they should do a double 25th Amendment. Get them both out,” Trump, 78, mused on “The Ben Shapiro Show.”
“This has got to be the worst administration ever,” he added. “They both don’t know what the hell they’re doing.
“I have some friends, obviously, over there at the White House … he is so angry at her, and she’s trying to distance herself,” the Republican nominee went on. “She doesn’t want anything to do with him.”
Under the 25th Amendment, the vice president and a majority of the Cabinet could deem the president incapable of discharging their duties and replace him or her with the vice president.
Next in line for the Oval Office after the vice president is House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.)
White House officials have long slapped down any suggestion that there had ever been chatter about using the 25th Amendment to boot Biden, despite his obvious decline while in office.
Foes of Trump, such as former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.), had trafficked in 25th Amendment innuendo against the Republican during his term of office.
During his wide-ranging chat with the Daily Wire founder, Trump brutally mocked Harris’ sit-down with CBS News’ “60 Minutes” that aired Monday evening.
“She answers questions like a child,” he said. “This is not a president. She is answering questions in the most basic way and getting killed over it.”
“And every time she does an interview, she sounds like a child. She sounds like a person with a very low IQ.”
Shapiro, once a critic of Trump who said in March he would have voted for Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis had he remained in the 2024 GOP primary, joined the 45th president at the Queens grave of Rabbi Menachem Mendel Schneerson to mark the anniversary of the Oct. 7 attack by Hamas against Israel.
Shapiro introduced him to family members of Edan Alexander, an American citizen who is still being held by Hamas.
Trump also expressed confidence about his prospects in the Nov. 5 election, despite Shapiro asserting it was likely “to be the closest presidential race in modern American history.”
“It just doesn’t feel like it’s that close of an election,” he said. “Now, I don’t know, and you always have to assume you’re losing by one point because that’s probably the best way to run.”
The former president also described his successor as a “stupid fool” before rounding on Harris.
“They’re just incompetent. She is grossly incompetent,” Trump said. “You know, Biden was incompetent. She is equally incompetent. And it in certain ways she’s more incompetent.”
