Trump MSG rallygoers sound off about Biden’s ‘garbage’ diss: ‘We’ll take out the trash Nov. 5’

Former President Donald Trump’s supporters who attended Sunday’s Madison Square Garden rally think President Biden’s dismissive comments branding Trump voters “garbage” are just trashy — and they say the remark has given them a jolt of enthusiasm before Election Day.

Democrats went into full-blown damage control mode by Tuesday night, with White House spokesman Andrew Bates attempting to redirect the target of Biden’s insult to the rally itself.

“The President referred to the hateful rhetoric at the Madison Square Garden Rally as ‘garbage,’” Bates claimed in a hastily fired-off statement amid a deluge of criticism.

Roast comedian and podcast host Tony Hinchcliffe made a controversial joke at the jam-packed campaign event in which he called Puerto Rico “a floating island of garbage,” prompting a meltdown among left-leaning outlets who blasted the gathering as racist, even comparing it to a Nazi rally.

Meanwhile, Trump supporters The Post spoke to are taking President Biden’s barb in stride, and saving their outrage for the ballot box.

Remy Baron, 45, Queens

Remy Barron, who was at the MSG rally to see “the big boss” Trump, said Biden’s remarks were “the same old rhetoric from the Democrats,” but was steadfast in his commitment to supporting the former president’s reelection bid.

“We don’t care about all the garbage the Democrats say about President Trump. We’re going in the wrong direction and he’s the man for the situation. He called us garbage. He called Trump Hitler. I’m not garbage, I’m a 45-year-old educated, healthy black man.”

Dorothea Ohlandt, 59, North Carolina

“All I can say is [Biden] needs Jesus,” said Dorothea Ohlandt, who The Post caught up with as she attended Wednesday’s Trump rally in Rocky Mount, North Carolina with her husband Billy, 63.

He needs to get a relationship with the lord, because Christians don’t call people names. I’ll be honest with you — I don’t even take it to heart, I just ignore it and continue to pray for the man,” she said, noting she was “all-in” on Trump.

Chris Connelly, 47, Bergen County, New Jersey

“I think it’s one thing for a comedian to make a bad joke, or a joke that wasn’t well-received, but it’s another thing for someone who’s not a comedian, but is the President of the United States, to say it about half of the country.”

Kristina Konrad, 31, said she wasn’t surprised by Biden’s remarks as she said, “I think it’s disgusting, I think it’s hypocritical, and I think they have nothing else to run on.” Kristina Konrad

Connelly tried to attend the rally with his 16-year-old son, Will, but the pair were just past the cut-off point and didn’t get into MSG.

Even so, the boiler maintenance company owner said the atmosphere even in the streets outside the arena was like “a rock concert.”

Sergio Gor, 37, Palm Beach, Fla.

“The disdain we have seen out of this White House is unparalleled. To call half the nation ‘garbage’ is wrong and unacceptable,” said the CEO of Right for America, who also took issue with Vice President Harris’ noncommittal response to Biden’s remarks.

“We have yet to see a strong condemnation from Kamala Harris.”

Kristina Konrad, 31, of Long Island

“It’s not surprising with the things he’s said over the last four years about us,” said the 31-year-old copywriter, who described the MSG rally as “one of the best events I’ve ever been to.”

“I think it’s disgusting, I think it’s hypocritical, and I think they have nothing else to run on. Their policies haven’t worked, they don’t have plans for new policies to work, so the best they can do is resort to calling patriotic people who want to see America thrive ‘garbage,’” she said.

“But I think we will take out the trash on Nov. 5 when we go vote.”
