DC is about to get a glow-up of historic proportions.

President Trump plans to unleash a mind-boggling 851,000 fireworks over the National Mall during a massive July 4 rally marking America’s 250th birthday — a spectacle set to shatter a world record.

The unprecedented pyrotechnic display, set to close the “Salute to America” bash, will obliterate the Guinness World Record for the largest fireworks display, previously set during the 2016 New Year celebrations at the Church of Christ in the Philippines with 810,904 fireworks.

The New Year’s show ran for 1 hour, 1 minute, 32.24 seconds in the pouring rain, records show.

Trump announced Monday that the “largest fireworks show in history” will light up the skies over Washington, DC, as part of the major rally at the newly refurbished Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool.

Interior Secretary Doug Burgum said the record-smashing fireworks will be fired from several sites, including nearly two dozen barges around the nation’s capital.

“Normally the fireworks are set off right along here,” Burgum told the Washington Reporter, referring to the area surrounding the Reflecting Pool.

“This year, because of the size and scale of the thing, there are so many locations where the fireworks are going to be going off, including barges.”

Dr. Kevin Griess, superintendent of the National Mall and Memorial Parks, said pallets of explosives will line both sides of the iconic water basin, with about 13 barges on the Potomac River and seven more at sites along the West Potomac.

The gargantuan display dwarfs the 7,000 fireworks launched last year for Independence Day, Griess said.

“It’s many minutes longer and much more celebratory,” Burgum told the outlet. “It’s going to be fantastic.”

The Department of the Interior did not immediately respond to The Post’s request for comment.

The US semiquincentennial event will also feature performances from military bands, orchestras and ceremonial units playing “patriotic melodies” along with selections from the president’s personal playlist.

The event will also include military flyovers, airshows, and a keynote speech by Trump.

“With the backdrop of the Lincoln Memorial and surrounding the beautifully new Reflecting Pool, more than 300 Members of our strong and talented Military Bands, Orchestras, and Ceremonial Units, will perform Patriotic Melodies and American Classics, and my Playlist,” Trump wrote on Truth Social.

“There will be incredible Flyovers and Airshows featuring our Top Military Pilots and Equipment, and I will deliver keynote remarks that you will not want to miss,” he continued.

“To conclude the program, and commemorate this Historic Occasion, I will be launching, what will be, the LARGEST FIREWORKS SHOW IN HISTORY, right here in our Nation’s Capital. Do not miss it.”

The July 4 celebration is part of “Freedom 250,” created by a Trump executive order commemorating America’s 250th birthday. The 16-day festival will run from June 25 to July 10 on the National Mall, with free concerts, state showcases and military programming.

The festival was rocked by controversy after several performers — including Martina McBride, Bret Michaels, The Commodores, Morris Day, C+C Music Factory and Young MC — dropped out of the festivities, claiming they were misled about the event.

Trump said festivities will kick off with country singer Lee Greenwood performing “God Bless the USA.”
