Tucker Kraft is headed in the right direction.
The Packers tight end has been sidelined since he tore his ACL in November, but shared a positive injury update on Friday as he was activated off the physically unable to perform list.
Kraft, 25, said that his doctor told him his knee “looks spectacular — almost like he had never seen a knee rehabilitation like mine.”
The tight end will not be thrown into practice right away, and warned reporters that he’s “not gonna be doing anything too crazy here for a while.”
“It’ll be no team [drills],” Packers coach Matt LaFleur added, per ESPN. “So, we’re just going to kind of get him back ingrained into the process and into individual.
“What’s great is when they do come off PUP, then now he can partake in some of the walk-through periods, especially that we do in the evenings, just to get him back hearing the call, lining up and then just going through that.”
Still, Kraft’s continued recovery will be seen as a boost for the Packers, who were without him for the final eight weeks of the regular season and playoffs last year.
Less than nine months after his injury against the Panthers, Kraft said his “comeback is ever-ascending day by day.”
“I’m just worried about getting back to who I was pre-injury,” he said.

Kraft, a third-round pick in 2023, has established himself as a solid red zone target for quarterback Jordan Love, as well as one of the better pass-catching tight ends in the NFL.
In 2024, he posted a career-high 707 receiving yards and seven touchdowns in 17 starts.
He was limited to just 489 receiving yards and six touchdowns in 2025 before going down with his season-ending injury.
The Packers will begin their preseason against the Pittsburgh Steelers on August 13.
They’ll open their regular season campaign at the Vikings exactly one month later for Week 1.
