Two teens in ‘extremely critical’ condition after horror fire rips through Westchester mansion

Four people, including two children, were critically injured after an overnight blaze ripped through a Westchester County mansion, trapping the victims inside as firefighters raced to rescue them.

The massive fire erupted around 2:30 a.m. at a Cortlandt Manor home, with flames shooting from the doors and windows as firefighters battled through the blaze to pull the terrified residents from their second-floor bedrooms, Mohegan Lake Fire Chief Thomas Eade told News 12.

“Crews engaged in an aggressive … tactical search where they used ground ladders to get into the second floor windows,” he told the outlet.

“They made a rescue out of both windows. All of that got done while trying to suppress the fire with a hose line. Crews did an impeccable job. The heroics that were engaged today by the members here, both men and women, were unbelievable.”

All four occupants were rushed to local hospitals, with two teens in “extremely critical condition.”

The two youngsters – a boy and a girl – suffered severe burns covering about 50% of their bodies, the outlet reported.

“Two teenagers… came out in serious condition with CPR being administered immediately,” Eade said.

One female victim was listed in stable condition at Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla, while doctors were still working to stabilize the male victim at NewYork-Presbyterian Hudson Valley Hospital.
