Tyreek Hill’s wife can’t stop watching detainment footage: ‘100 times’

Tyreek Hill said he watched the video footage from his detainment by Miami-Dade police, which took place during a traffic stop ahead of a season-opening victory against the Jaguars, just once.

The Dolphins receiver’s pregnant wife, Keeta Vaccaro, couldn’t stop watching it — and his mother became more upset each time she viewed it.

“I can’t watch it more than once,” Hill told Taylor Rooks on “Thursday Night Football” on Amazon Prime. “My mom, wife, they probably watched it 100 times.

“And my mom, she always be like, ‘every time I watch this video I get madder.’

“I said, ‘Let’s not get mad. Let’s learn, because the more we get made, I feel like that’s moving us backwards. It’s all about accountability on both sides.”

Hill and Vaccaro married in Texas last November during Miami’s bye week after the pair had been engaged since July 2021

They are reportedly expecting a baby girl together.

Hill explained he hasn’t fully grasped his detainment, which is being investigated internally by the Miami-Dude police department.

One police officer involved, a 27-year veteran of the Miami-Dade PD, was placed on administrative leave.

“It’s tough, it’s hard,” Hill said. “You know, going through something like that is traumatic, man. It’s embarrassing for my family, my kids, my wife especially — having my wife worry when she’s pregnant.

“So yeah, I’m still trying to put it all together, put the pieces to the puzzle.”

Hill added that he won’t let the incident impact his play on the field.

“Football is my sanctuary,” he said. “This is where I pay my bills at. This is where I take care of my family.”

Hill claimed an officer — there were multiple cops on the scene — was pinching his neck to provoke him to react while he was handcuffed and lying facedown on the ground outside Hard Rock Stadium on Sept. 8.

Hill also repeatedly called for the immediate termination of the officer that has been placed on administrative leave.

He did play in the opener and went on to score an 80-yard touchdown in Miami’s 20-17 win on Sunday.

The 30-year-old All-Pro then performed a handcuffs celebration.

Hill received two citations as a result of his traffic stop, including careless driving and a seatbelt violation.

The South Florida Police Benevolent Association said in a statement that Hill was detained for “driving in a manner in which he was putting himself and others in great risk of danger.”

Hill was then put in handcuffs for being “not immediately cooperative,” according to the PBA.
