Apparently we are the weird ones, not the guy dressing up as a girl and walking around congress expecting to be called ma’am.
The Gateway Pundit reported,
Freshman transgender Democrat Congressman Sarah McBride (formerly Tim McBride) of Delaware lashed out at Republicans at a Democrats retreat in Leesburg, Virgina on Thursday, saying they are obsessed with culture war issues. With a straight (and heavily made-up) face, McBride called Republicans “weird” and “bizarre.”
McBride posted his own version of his remarks, commenting, “I appear to live rent free in the minds of some of my Republican colleagues. I wish that they would spend even a fraction of the time that they spend thinking about me, thinking about how to lower costs for American families.”
Tim McBride publicly came out as Sarah McBride in 2012 while at American University.
Sarah McBride is a rising senior at American University, where she studies political science. This past May, she finished her term as president of the student government, and the next day an op-ed she wrote appeared in the AU student newspaper, The Eagle.
Rather than saying goodbye to the student body, McBride used the article to say hello. For the first time, Sarah McBride introduced herself to the student body. You see, for the first 21 years of her life, Sarah was known as “Tim.”
“For my entire life, I’ve wrestled with my gender identity,” McBride wrote. “It was only after the experiences of this year that I was able to come to terms with what had been my deepest secret: I’m transgender.”
Mr. McBride is correct about one thing. We do deserve serious legislators, the kind that actually know which bathroom to use. He does not live rent free in anyone’s head. He lives for attention.
