He’s saving lives — and gas.

A video of an FDNY firefighter in full uniform riding an electric skateboard to work on the Upper West Side is burning up social media, with many criticizing the new congestion pricing fees for the carless commute.

“This s–t is getting outta hand … the people that help save lives have to do this because of tolls,” the video taken and posted on Jan. 7 by Instagram user @stretch_mbh was captioned.

The uniformed firefighter can be seen rolling down West 110th Street near Morningside Drive with gloves, a fire helmet and a backpack on.

Popular social media accounts New Yorkers and NYC Fire Wire also shared the video, which got over 300,000 views, and many took to the comment sections in support of workers and first responders forced to pay the $9 levy.

“If they could figure out how to put a toll on that, they would do it too,” one person commented about skateboarding.

“Get this guy a free ride now,” another user said.

“First responders should go through tolls for free,” posted another.

The FDNY said skateboarding has been the firefighter’s “preferred method of transportation” even before congestion pricing began in NYC. instagram/stretch_mbh/

But the FDNY insists the firefighter — who appears to be Ladder 2 Capt. James Sicilian, a 25-year veteran and avid skateboarder — has been traveling to work by skateboard long before congestion pricing kicked into gear on Jan 5.

“That is his preferred method of transportation to work,” a spokesperson told The Post.
