President Trump on Thursday trolled radical Texas Democrat James Talarico for being a vegan while delivering remarks at the Peterbilt Motors Company plant in Denton, Texas, this afternoon.
“You got a freako,” Trump said before joking that Talarico privately engages in self-induced vomiting when he eats meat for the cameras on the campaign trail. “He gets rid of the meat! He doesn’t want meat.”
Talarico infamously declared his 2022 campaign for Texas State House a “non-meat campaign,” vowing, “We are only buying vegan products from our local vegan businesses.” He said protesting meat was “the right thing to do” for the climate.
However, Talarico has since tried to distance himself from his comments, telling CBS in May that his campaign now “basically runs on Texas barbecue.”
Trump capitalized on Talarico’s bizarre meat views, describing him as a “freako” and trolling him as a vegan.
“We got to get this guy elected,” he said of Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton, while noting, “you got a Freako that’s running against him.”
“Give me a break. You notice the way all of a sudden he’s eating meat? He doesn’t eat meat. He’s a vegan, and vegans, you know what a vegan is, vegans don’t do well in Texas,” Trump added.
“Okay, so now he goes to a barbecue, he eats meat. You know what he does after he eats? He says, ‘Excuse me, just for—’ He goes behind the tent, and he throws up. He throws up. He gets rid of the meat! He doesn’t want meat.”

Trump also took aim at Talarico during the RNC midterm convention last month with comedy gold, describing his anti-meat campaign as a “campaign to beat meat,” the Gateway Pundit reported.
“He was also somebody that hated eating meat. He ran a campaign to beat meat. He called it ‘beat meat!’” Trump said of the Texas Democrat. “I don’t know what the hell he meant by that.”
“But it was bad for his image, so he started eating meat,” Trump added.
