Wake Forest got a dramatic last-second win Friday, besting Memphis off a buzzer-beating 3-pointer from Myles Colvin. The shot gave the Demon Deacons the win in the consolation game of the Baha Mar Championship tournament in the Bahamas.
With 1.5 seconds on the clock, Wake Forest got the ball all the way down the court for the game-winning score, breaking a string of brutal one-point losses in the process.

Isaac Carr kicked off the play by inbounding the ball with an arcing pass all the way down the court. Tre’Von Spillers then received the ball, tapping it just enough to get it to Colvin, who let it loose just before the clock hit zero.
Wake Forest’s much-needed win comes after two one-point losses in the past two weeks, falling 85-84 to No. 6 Michigan in overtime on Nov. 11 before losing 84-83 to No. 15 Texas Tech on Thursday.
The Demon Deacons looked like they were on their way to another heartbreaker against Memphis, letting the Tigers lead by as many as 13 points in the first quarter in the first half. But Wake Forest launched a comeback, led largely by Spillers, who scored 17 of his 24 points in the second half.

The game then came down to the final moment, with Colvin hitting the dagger under pressure to give his team the win. Even the crowd, mostly made up of fans waiting for the championship game between Texas Tech and Purdue, was thrilled.
