“The View” co-hosts just can’t help themselves when it comes to smearing conservatives.
As The Gateway Pundit previously reported, Sunny Hostin was forced to read legal notes twice earlier this week after smearing Trump cabinet nominees former Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) (since withdrawn) and Pete Hegseth. Gaetz has been dogged by baseless sex trafficking allegations for years, while Hegseth has been accused of sexual assault without evidence.
On Friday, the women decided to double down on these smears, evidently thinking viewers and their ABC bosses would not call them out.
But they once again miscalculated. A fuming Hostin announced she had two legal notes to share, once again concerning Gaetz and Hegseth.
She noted that Gaetz has denied all wrongdoing regarding sex trafficking.
Hegseth’s lawyer noted he paid off a woman in 2023 to head off the threat of a baseless lawsuit.

Sunny Hostin sighs as she’s forced to, for the third time this week, read a legal note about The View’s claims against Matt Gaetz and Pete Hegseth.
Joy Behar then baselessly accuses Hegseth of witness tampering. No legal note was provided for that false claim. pic.twitter.com/7nkA16D42Q— Nicholas Fondacaro (@NickFondacaro) November 22, 2024
HOSTIN: I have a legal note. Matt Gaetz has long denied allegations and has not been charged with any crime. Also, another legal note: Pete Hegseth says he paid the woman in 2023 to head off the threat of a baseless lawsuit.
He has denied any wrongdoing.
BEHAR (laughing): That’s interesting. Pay off the, uh, witness.
The women would not have to worry about reading legal notes if they stopped lying to the public.
As TGP readers know, on Tuesday, Sunny Hostin was forced to read a legal note out on air after smearing Matt Gaetz as a sex offender, attempting to link Gaetz to the DOJ’s old recycled allegations of sex trafficking.
“How could you nominate someone with allegations of child trafficking across state lines and having sex with a 17-year-old,” Hostin said. “My understanding further on in the interview they discuss the fact that once he found out she was 17 he stopped having sex with her.”
On Thursday, she repeated her smears against Gaetz and also slandered Pete Hegseth, President Trump’s nominee for Defense Secretary, with leaks about a years-old sexual assault allegation that was already investigated by police.
In 2017, in Monterey, California, police investigated an allegation made by a married woman who claimed without evidence Hegseth sexually assaulted her at a political event. Hegseth maintains the encounter was consensual. Nonetheless, the hosts slandered him anyway.
Perhaps the only way these lies will cease is if someone files a class-action lawsuit against “The View” co-hosts and ABC. Taking a second look at the network’s broadcasting license would not be a bad idea either.
