Prediction markets show EPA Administrator Lee Zeldin is the overwhelming favorite to replace ousted Attorney General Pam Bondi at the Justice Department.

Kalshi puts a 53% chance on President Trump tapping Zeldin as the next attorney general, followed by Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche at 25% and Assistant Attorney General for Civil Rights Harmeet Dhillon at 7%.

Polymarket similarly has Zeldin leading the field at 68%, followed by Blanche at 16% and DC US Attorney Jeanine Pirro at 6%.

Texas Attorney General and Republican Senate candidate Ken Paxton, Sen. Mike Lee (R-Utah), US Attorney for the Southern District of New York Jay Clayton and Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis were among others drawing bets on both platforms.

Suspected inside traders appear to have used prediction markets in recent months to place lucrative and well-timed wagers on key Trump moves, like the raid that captured Venezuelan dictator Nicolás Maduro and decision to launch airstrikes against Iran.

Trump informed Bondi on Wednesday that she would be replaced as the head of DOJ.

On Thursday, the president made the change public and announced that Blanche would step in to serve as acting attorney general, describing him as a “very talented and respected Legal Mind.”

Zeldin has been rumored for months to be under consideration as a permanent replacement.

The former New York congressman didn’t address the AG rumors in public remarks at an event with Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. after Trump announced the shakeup.
