It can be fun to be the devil’s advocate. You get to argue against what often is widely accepted logic. You can get creative in finding reasoning to support an unpopular or odd position. Sometimes you can even land on conclusions that eventually become more agreed upon than anticipated.
Like: To be the devil’s advocate, the Madman would say the movie “Devil’s Advocate” is terribly underrated.
Maybe we’re just fishing for Al Pacino to tell us “I’m a fan of Madman!” Or, maybe we’re right. And being right with a contrarian take can pay off sometimes — one of those times notably being if you can do it in a DFS contest.
