A woman was struck and killed by a hit-and-run school bus full of students while she was crossing a Brooklyn street Thursday afternoon, according to cops and sources.
The female pedestrian was attempting to cross the street at the intersection of 23rd Avenue and Bath Avenue in Gravesend just after 3 p.m. when the school bus driver failed to navigate the roadway properly and careened into her, the NYPD said.

The unidentified driver then fled the scene of the crash with students on the bus, according to cops and sources.
The victim, who has also not yet been identified, was taken to Maimonides Medical Center in critical condition. She was later pronounced dead, police added.

The school bus driver has not been found as of late Thursday. It’s not immediately clear whether the driver was even aware that they had hit the woman.
The bus company and the school it serves are also not immediately known.
The fatal crash remains under investigation by the Highway Collision Investigation Squad.
