Xavier Gipson doesn’t hold a grudge against the Jets or head coach Aaron Glenn.

In fact, the new Giants receiver and return specialist was appreciative of how Glenn handled his release earlier this week.

“He called me. I can’t do nothing but respect it,” Gipson, a former undrafted free agent out of Stephen F. Austin who was in his third season as a Jet, told The Post on Friday. “He came to me first, before he went to anybody else. I can’t do nothing but respect that as a man. He just told me, ‘This is the hardest part of the business, but I’m going to have to release you.’ ”

The Jets moved on from Gipson, 24, after his costly fumble in their Week 1 loss to the Steelers. Glenn later said the move wasn’t merely about his fumble, but a number of things that contributed to the decision.
