We picked the Dodgers to win the World Series.
Not only did we get an earful (or is it an eyeful?) from Yankees fans when we searched our inbox, but our west-coast correspondent Rob Mittlelholz, who bleeds Dodger Blue, didn’t appreciate it either: “Dammit, Stitches! That’s not funny. It’s crap like this that stands between you and a Pulitzer. As I said in March (albeit with slightly more confidence now), Dodgers over Yankees in six. But your jinx doesn’t help.”
It would be helpful to know who won Game 1 as we look into Game 2, but this blind squirrel has found a few nuts this fall.
Carlos Rodon and Yoshinobu Yamamoto bring similar postseason numbers.
Rodon has allowed seven runs on 15 hits over 14 ¹/₃.
Yamamoto has surrendered seven runs on 11 hits over 12 ¹/₃.
While Rodon has twice as many Ks (12-11), the quality of opponents (Padres and Mets) tell us to take Yamamoto and the Dodgers for $50.
Freddie Freeman!

Why Trust New York Post Betting
The one and only Stitches has been handicapping baseball, daily, for the Post since 2019. Miraculously, he has finished in the black twice. But wait there’s more. He showed his versatility by winning the Post’s NFL Best Bet crown last year.
