SAN DIEGO, CA — During a routine traffic stop, a California truck driver with a valid Class A driver’s license was reportedly pulled over by law enforcement and cited after officers discovered he was a legal U.S. resident.
According to witnesses, the truck was pulled over for passing a weigh station, leading to suspicion that it was being used to smuggle illegal aliens across the border. However, after questioning the driver and examining his California Real ID, officers uncovered a far more serious crime.
The driver was a legal American citizen.
Released police body cam and dash cam footage showed the incident in full:
OFFICER 1: It says here you’re a U.S. citizen. Is that correct, sir?
DRIVER: All my life.
OFFICER 1: Step out of the car please, sir.
DRIVER: May I ask what this is about?
OFFICER 1: Just step out of the car, sir.
OFFICER 2: Let’s take a look in the truck.
[Driver opens truck]
OFFICER 1: What is this?
DRIVER: Jeans.
OFFICER 2: Made in the USA? Now you’re in real trouble.
The truck driver, whose name has not been released to the public, was cited for willfully being a legal U.S. resident. He was also given a warning for supporting the American economy by transporting goods made in the USA.
At publishing time, the California Department of Motor Vehicles announced that it would stop issuing driver’s licenses to American citizens to prevent a sudden outbreak of safety on the roads.
Protect yourself from the modern day gestapo!
