LANCASTER, PA — In response to the popular reception former President Donald Trump received while working at a Philadelphia area McDonald’s over the weekend, a desperate Kamala Harris ordered her campaign staff to plan a photo op at a local Long John Silver’s.
Believing she needed to top Trump’s McDonald’s stunt, Harris demanded that calls be placed to nearby fast food restaurants to set up a campaign event, eventually settling on Long John Silver’s as the best destination.
“There’s no better fast food establishment to reflect Kamala’s popularity and mass appeal,” Harriz-Walz campaign spokesperson Kayleigh Prince said. “If Trump thinks he can pose as some ‘everyman’ who serves people fast food, then we’ve got to do one better by parading Kamala in front of Long John Silver’s. We’re hoping we can turn things around once people see Kamala handing out fish, shrimp, and hush puppies. It’ll be great.”
When asked about the photo op, the vice president expressed excitement. “I know, right? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA HA HA,” she said. “It will be great to be back at Long John Silver’s. I used to work there back when I was a college student. Did I mention that? Yeah, I totally worked there. And work is what we do when we are doing things. Things that work. While we work. And that is how I’m going to fix this economy. Get some hush puppies, ya’ll! HAHAHAHAHAHA!”
At publishing time, the campaign also released a statement in which Governor Tim Walz proudly revealed he had worked a shift at a local Chick-fil-A last Sunday.
