U.S. — Fans reportedly took time on “May the 4th” for silent reflection, somberly remembering the now deceased Star Wars franchise.

“Star Wars used to be full of such life,” said fan Kyle Kent. “That’s how I want to remember it, before it started to decline later in life.”

According to sources, Star Wars died back in 2012 when Lucasfilm was sold to Disney. Both The Last Jedi and The Rise of Skywalker are viewed by fans and critics alike as the last dying breaths of a beloved elderly family member. “It looks like them, but it’s not them anymore,” reflected longtime fan Timothy Patrick. “I knew then — Star Wars was already gone.”

“Star Wars may be dead, but we still carry the memories with us,” said another grieving fan. “Today, we solemnly remember the joy it brought to our lives up until its tragic death.”

At publishing time, President Trump ordered flags at half mast in memory of the once beloved franchise and declared “May the 4th” a national day of mourning.

The USA undeniably trumps our neighbors to the north.
