Billionaire San Francisco Giants owner, his son and several board members all attended a secretive Bohemian Grove men’s club camp.
Details about the Bohemian Club’s membership exploded into public view after a leaked, searchable list of the exclusive membership was published.
The club’s invite-only membership and secrecy has fueled countless conspiracies since it was established in 1872, especially as many of the members were believed to be drawn from America’s political and business elite.
And the exclusive membership has now been confirmed, with the list identifying the likes of late night talk host Conan O’Brien, billionaire Michael Bloomberg and ex-Google boss Eric Schmidt as members.

The California Post confirmed the authenticity of the list, which named 2,000 people and the camps they belonged to when they descended on Monte Rio, two hours north of San Francisco, in 2023.
Giants owner Charles B. Johnson, who is worth $6.1 billion, his son and club chairman, Greg were two of the 42 people reportedly designated for the Mandalay camp that year.
Rupert Johnson Jr., Charles Johnson’s brother, who is worth $4.8 billion, also attended one of the camps.
Giants ownership was not alone in attending camp at the Grove. A’s and San Jose Earthquakes owner John Fisher was reportedly there in 2023 alongside billionaire Charles Koch, according to the attendance list.

A member of the 49ers ownership group also makes an appearance on the list, Jed York, though not a primary owner. Byron Deeter is also listed in the Haven camp in 2023. He was not a Niners’ owner at the time he went to camp, but he bought into the team last May.
It’s hardly shocking that owners of Bay Area sports franchises would belong to the Bohemian Club and take part in its retreat. The organization has long been involved with San Francisco’s power circles, and the leaked roster includes a wide range of well-known Bay Area figures beyond the sports industry.
The annual summer camp has a history of bizarre and unusual rituals. In a mini-documentary published this week, journalist Boguslaw and the news site More Perfect Union reported that the club was a catalyst for deals to cut capital gains taxes and social security under former President Ronald Regan’s administration.
It’s even been rumored that the camp is where J. Robert Oppenheimer first discussed the Manhattan Project. Several U.S. presidents have been members in the club, and Richard Nixon is said to have launched his 1968 presidential campaign from the Grove.
